I have been really enamored with the ones I have, and started the process of switching some outcannel gouges that were doubles to incannel. I agree about paring endgrain, it’s also nice to have some with the wings ground back a little and some ground as square as I can make them.
I hadn’t thought about mortising with them, that’s why I was asking Steve to flesh out the idea.
