I would start a different place. Do what ever you now do to sharpen a chisel. When done, buff for 3 seconds. If you have a metallurgically challenged chisel the result will be obvious. If you have an excellent chisel ground at an angle where it is already robust you may not see a benefit starting here.

I don't have any intention of regrinding the 28-30 degree primary bevel on any of my chisels until they need substantial resharpening. Then I may go to 25. Maybe eventually I may get to David's 20. But the advantage of 20 vs 25 or even 30 is minor to me compared to the improvement in edge robustness for what I do.

The next advantage is for advanced chiselers- more acute chisel grinds. Go there after comfortable with step 1.
