There was discussion and I posted pictures on Badger Pond. That's probably why you can't find it. My old notes from Y2K indicate that Brian Buckner was involved in the discussions and had also built one.
The blade mounting post on mine was not perpendicular to the base (my notes say it was off by about 8°), so I straightened it to some extent and also gave it a better grip on the blades with a square cross section Swiss pattern file. The thumb screw on the blade holding ring was not the one supplied with the kit. I found it in my assortment of spare hardware. sites.
Curiously, I can't find the #98 and #99 Side Rabbet Planes on Lie-Nielsen's website.
