I just weighed two planes, a Stanley 604 from about 1920 and a Spiers round-sided smoother from about 1900.
The Stanley weighs 3 lbs 10 ounces and the Spiers weighs 3 lbs 14-1/2 ounces.
The blade on the Spiers is 2-1/8" wide so the slightly heavier plane also has a slightly wider blade. Both planes are well-balanced and good to use.
