Just subjectively, I think it should be good as a strop. Better than cast - it should have just a little give and let the material reach above its grit level and not raise a wire edge by pushing an edge over like even brass can.

I like the idea - I wish I'd have thought of it as I've got an unbelievable amount of livingstone (same as corian but different brand with "Big particles" in the material) from the dealer sending me an extra sheet by accident when I fabricated my countertops.

That's on top of a full flat rate box of corian that I thought I'd turn to make bushings.

Anyway, seems ideal -a little but still control of edge geometry. I should've used it for my iron test.
