Subject:
Hollow grind on a butt chisel?

David Gli
I recently received a new LV butt chisel. The back is now nicely flattened and polished and I knocked a bit off the sides on a diamond stone. I went to convert the bevel to a hollow grind and ran into a snafu. Because of the short blade, there is no way to get the proper grind angle using any jig or free handing on a platform. The Tormek jig and a platform jig both use up almost all the length of the blade so barely anything protrudes. The system would work if I wanted to put a 60 degree bevel on this chisel. :-(

Does anyone have an easy way to do this or should I just use a flat bevel on this one chisel ?

Thanks!
