Beyond the obvious need that the saw has to be taller than the tenon length, does the taller saw make aiming easier? In other words is a tall saw advantageous for any length tenon because it is easier to see/feel it is vertical?

The taller saw does not make aiming or keeping it vertical easier for me. The advantage for me is less teeth per inch and more length for faster cutting.
