Stanley scraper inserts

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
Paul transferred that business to another person. He was selling them at the demonstration I attended. What impressed me with the card scraper preparation was its ease and durability of the edge. I think his work hardening routine is a key element. His emphasis on cleaning the burr must also be important, but I don't know why.

We were going to have him for our May meeting but that fell victim to the Virus.

He uses a common spring stock "1095" for scrapers. It is a high carbon steel at Rc 50 something or another.
