Hi Bill,

The specs on the saw indicate a very fine smooth cut, at 22 tpi, which you want for this use. It’s got the tpi of a fine dovetail saw on a longer blade. The lack of full-length spine may be a benefit for the intended use, because you’re always going to be using a finger to keep the blade against the fence (as shown in photo), and you have an unobstructed sightline from all angles.

It’s a steal for $20, and I would predict will find other special jobs around the shop.
