Re: Pencil Two - Octagonal

Yes on the clean up, and it may be necessary to have more than one clean coat of it (not a big deal), but due to its stickiness, it's completely unforgiving of any dirt on fingers, pretty much anywhere. A couple of particles that get on in one spot end up spread all over the place.

I don't know much about the origin of cashew lacquer other than that it's expensive over here, urushi is apparently toxic, and the cashew (which worked great for sealing stones) is like molasses and has a very pleasant (and probably not healthful) smell. if I can get it on clean and level, it should be nice to use, and the aroma each time it's sharpened is nice. It smells almost like root beer or soda-themed candy.

I'll send a couple through the mail once I manage to get the finish to lay on them nicely. Varnish is also an option, but that'll require UV light.
