Subject:
answers?

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
I think I may have gotten lost/confused in your questions. Did the how diamonds are sized discussion answer them? Presumably the discussion explains why any product has a range of size and how a company can/will sell 0-2, 0-1, 0-0.5 etc. .

It should be added that the amount of the actual particle sizes in the range will be biased to the larger sizes. Something labeled 2 micron with a range of 1-3 will not be the weight average 1 micron. This value will be greater than 1 micron.

The "1 micron" I use is 0-1 micron. In fact the particles will mostly be near 1 micron. I am going to experiment with tightly graded 3 micron to see if I can skip the "fine" fixed diamond plate step.
