Re: Brian Cunfer Windsor class - any experiences?

Warren in Lancaster, PA
Jim Rendi died earlier this year, maybe in his late sixties. He was enthusiastic about historical methods, but his technique was very sloppy. Just not much of a craftsman, and he did not seem to care.

Many years ago I visited my friend Daniel O'Hagan here in Lancaster County on a Sunday afternoon. I waited twenty minutes while he finished up a letter. He explained that he was trying to get David Sawyer interested in making Windsor chairs. His letter was some instructions for Windsors and he wanted to make sure everything was just right. Later Curtis Buchanan studied with Sawyer.
