Hand Tools

Amen on all points and a rant

Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
They know how to make stuff that moves woodworking out of the dark ages to make us better woodworkers. Now if they would just put some efforts toward making a screw driver suitable for driving brass hinge and latch sized screws under practical conditions.

It would have a round handle that could be turned with one hand while the other supported what was being hinged or latched. It would have a tight fit parallel sided blade sized for hinge, catch and lock screws- 3, 4, 6. It would not need construction and ergonomics capable of sheering #8 steel screws, only enough to drive brass screws. In fact the shaft could be designed to shear before a brass screw shank ;) .
