Re: ordered Lee Valley PM V11 blades today

Derek Cohen (in Perth, Australia)
I ordered a couple weeks ago, and will do more if they make an infill-ready iron.

I think David’s initial skepticism (maybe even bias :) ) is what made his results so convincing.

And my involvement with Lee Valley is understandably why there was some disbelieve when I posted my assessment results several years ago (and have continued to repeat them in the years since). It is good to have a second opinion (especially when it bears out one's own! :D ).

Keep in mind that the blades from Veritas are also prepared in a manner which David's efforts simply cannot replicate: they have backs which are flat, flat, flat. Only wipe the backs with your finest stone. Veritas prepare them to 4000 grit (their minimal estimate).

Regards from Perth
