A little follow-up.....Stanley Bedrock 605-1/2 was made from 1898-1935, so they’re all prewar (the big one). All of them had the 2-1/4” iron, which some measure to be a skosh less than 2-1/4.

BTW, waterjet cutting does not alter the temper in any way.
