The Clarington Forge Bulldog tools are first rate or at least they were 30 years ago when my mom gifted me a fork and a spade as a house warming present. Mine have served me well since then and they are a far cry from what most folks can access at their local hardware store or big box. There is a bit of hyperbole in the current ad copy - the ash handles have yet to "mold to my hand"... not sure if mine are too weak or too smooth or both but if they vanished I'd buy them again in a flash. My only word of caution would be to check the descriptions carefully - some of their spades and shovels come without treads - I guess they might be OK in incredibly light, loose soil but I surely would not want to regularly step on the top of a spade built like that.
