Joe, bad luck. Good thing you had options to do good with wood.

My truck came with these dowdy looking rims, that had probably unnecessary locking nuts on each wheel. The dealer did not give us the key, and we drove for about 10000 miles before we realized that we did not have the necessary socket. Then we carried that around for a number of years until the socket went missing. That can be an expensive mistake, but if your shop rises to impact sockets, then you can just hammer a near size on and crack it loose. All that trouble and all you need to remove the Ford wheels at least is a socket.
