Rob is very determined. I think he had a method set that he was going to do and that was that.

It resulted in a less sharp chisel when he went after the M4 chisel that I sent, because he wore out before bringing the entire back into plane and scuffed up the short back that I'd polished, but I wasn't intending to get the chisel back - just confused when he said he got initial results but wasn't convinced that the chisel was as sharp as it should be (i sent it 85% of max sharpness, I'd say - beyond what someone would get on something like a King 8000 and free of any wire edge frizzies).
