wood drying/checking ()

"How can I accelerate drying without checking?"

You can't. Checking happens when the wood dries too fast.
When you dry the wood too fast, all sorts of bad stuff can happen. There may be checks that you don't see, but the customer gets to experience them weeks or months later. The wood for sure will be more prone to warping, at least until it reaches equilibrium again. My advice is to slow down and be patient. I am just dipping into some beech that's been drying for three years. Wood dries on its own schedule.
