A bit over a year ago I purchased a retirement house in Vermont, right across the river from the original Pike mill in Haverhill NH. I drive through Pike regularly when commuting. This summer I had a mason repairing the fieldstone foundation, and being a stone guy he's familiar with the regional history, and says he knows where the quarries were.....we can hopefully visit when he's not so busy. Perhaps I can find some of the original stone....
