Keep in mind that the drawer front are small - just 100x100mm. This made them too small to plane safely, too small to use a spoke shave without tearout, and the waste was too narrow to remove on a bandsaw. The rasp was all that was left to use.

The hardest part was keeping the side edges sharp. It was always a concern that they would end up rounded over.

I am working on the inside curve of the drawers, and doing so in a similar way.
