Nothing is gained if you are cutting drawer sides, it would be pretty gross. It is a lot faster because the teeth are larger, and you don't have to switch saws. Mostly it is the cool factor. It also ought to be cheaper as those fret saws people are now using are some of the finest ever offered. A blade ought to cost about 10 bucks. Just seems to be something I always wanted, and apparently nobody else does. Though as I confess, I still haven't got out from in front of the computer and just knocked one out.
