Kevin, those are some good links. My experience with the Japanese blades has not been good. The original German ones were not really all that great quality, but at least they were in the original tooth patterns for various uses. Some progress back to those designs was underway and then the German houses came out with those coarse crosscuts and the saw were back to cutting firewood.
I would like to see some more delicate blades that would be useful and cheap for cutting joinery. We have great saws, but they are expensive and this would really break the back for some use cases.
