Nicely done. That is a very nice tool you made there. You wondered why there weren't any others out there. I found this gem years ago. I believe it is made by the Butcher Tool Company(just a guess) because of the hatchet logo on the cap iron. It does indeed have a chip breaker. I've never tried it on wild grain. I think I will though. I mostly work with green oak with straight grain and have no need for such a tool. I just like it because it is unique.
