As for new blood in hand tools, maybe what is needed is someone doing it who captures the imagination of youth. Roy Underhill served that purpose at one time. And somehow, I don’t remember how, Jim Krenov became known and though he used power tools, he did stuff with handtools too. Who is out there now?
