I see a stack of shallow drawers, like for a mechanick’s chest or sewing table, or to store anything flattish—saws, wrenches, or your wife’s fabrics and odds and ends. Resaw to make the sides. Tongued pieces one height; grooved pieces a little shallower drawer. Corrugations resawn or planed off, or lived with, depending on purpose.
If these sticks match the house flooring, might be sensible to keep some of it for repairs.
