Request 2 - the pull, how do you make it?

For anyone who doesn't know what the pull is, GEC's got a diagram here. Theirs are forged in. I'm thinking engraving. I don't want anything that looks obviously machine done, because that's ugly and cheap looking. GEC is one of the few commodity knife makers who has good design on their blades and adds elements that would've been on a knife when people were doing more of the work by hand.

If I can't engrave a pull with a perfect bottom, I can blue inside the pull so that it's not that obvious.
