Hi Warren,
Like i said, i am no chipbreaker historian, i pulled a few references of of the internet today to see if there was information in print, after having been told there wasn't any. I don't know Whelan, never heard of him or seen his book before i came across the info this morning.

But that still leaves me with Stanley and tens of thousands of supersurfacers around the world. The diagram in Scot Wynn book looks like he understands but i haven't read that either, maybe you have.
