To call that finished bevel economical would be a bit of an understatement! I'd love to have that knife hardness tested, but it's harder than I thought it would be. Even a friodur razor will yield to a slurried japanese barber hone pretty easily, but this thing is pretty resistant.

I can stuff it away now and maybe give it as a present to some hunter in the future since it was cheap. I used to hunt, but I'm too lazy and impatient (my version of hunting is more like a natural walk with a rifle).

Regular use of a knife like this, and I'd probably set up a paper wheel with al-ox compound on it. It just doesn't make sense to me at this point over a carbon steel knife.
