Yep, that's going to be a fairly "chunky" steel.

Do you happen to have a comparable shot (same edge angle and sharpening method) of PM-V11? I can't remember what you've posted along those lines. Both it and 154CM can be broadly described as "440C-like" steels, though they diverge from 440C in rather different ways.

Note that edge angle is a critical variable when looking at carbide chipout like this.
