I've actually made a few knives from ATS-34 but it's been so long I can't remember if it's a steel I really enjoyed but I remember it being preferable to some of the more extreme alloyed steels like BG-42.

I used 440c at the time as well but had a bit of an exotics obsession so I also had used D2 (awful) and BG42 which truly holds a dull edge forever.

I was mostly curious if it would have those bubbles under the scope and I'm glad to see the comparable steel does not.
