Shiplap with bead question *PIC*

Joe in a Cleveland suburb
This may seem like a silly question, but I'm not sure of the answer :\
I couldn't find any old magazine articles or books that would help that I have.

I am playing around/practicing with my little Veritas Small Plow plane.

I'm making a small cabinet that will have ship lapped back boards. I'm practicing with scraps of pine. The ship lapped part was simple. I did 3/8 x 3/8 rabbets.

I thought a 3/16" bead would be nice. So should I put the bead on the "A" board, or the "B" board?

I'm guessing the answer is the "B" board because it would leave more meat so-to-speak.

Right?

Thanks.
