I can attest to the Tsunesaburo rikizai, I have one in my LN 7 plane and it just cuts forever. I have taken it out of the plane and have done a double take on how dull it is and still cutting.
When I brought it to kez I did not want to sharpen it at the event, I used it to joint two 10' long 10/4 pieces of yellow cedar, one with a significant bow, and it was still clean enough to use as the zero-pass for anyone who requested it for the competition. Cutting full passes without voids, skipping, etc.
In spite of how cheap those blades are, they're wonderful.
