Well, they're about a hundred bucks in japan. It's not until someone brings them over here and puts them on ebay that they turn into a $250-$400 tool.

I work alone, so a pitsaw is probably a poor option (and they're expensive!).

(and I don't have a pit).

If I have the choice, I prefer functional exercise. The wood's not going to appreciate that I cut it by hand, but my brain likes that kind of thing.
