Float Question ()

William, I sharpen my floats with 10° of positive rake (the opposite of how a saw is usually sharpened). I've used them with beech, maple, rosewood, and cocobolo, and haven't felt the need to alter the rake for denser species. Historically, floats have been sharpened between the 10° I mentioned and 0°.
