I do the same with Japanese planes, set them up straight and slowly camber most of them for ease of work and for the fact that I'm typically using them on panels. I have some set straight across for small beams and shoji where the work is smaller than the plane.

Your planes fed well, I don't usually skew it much at all, at least not intentionally so. The jack of course would not have issues with feeding, the try plane I have pretty lightly cambered and can usually take a full width shaving or very near to it without any issues.
