This depends on the camber depth of the blade. Unless the chip breaker iron is also strongly cambered (which I have done, but is a pita) you can't get it super close to the primary blade cambered edge because the chip breaker would overhang the outer edges of the primary blade. Both would have to similarly cambered.
In this case, I would get the chip breaker very close to the primary blade at it's outer edges (where, because of the camber, the blade isn't cutting) and depending on the depth of the camber, this sets the "overhang" distance. In practice, I would guess 0.020" - 0.030" at least at the center, again depending on the depth (radius) of the camber. But I personally tend to more strongly camber plane blades...
