that'll be interesting to see. I'll go to the trouble of cleaning my diamond hone thoroughly, lapping the surface of the stone thoroughly and raising a slurry on it that's wet and see if I can get something that looks a little better.

This is representative of what I've done in the past though when I actually used the shapton. It's capable of a little more, but there is a time cost to it.

Finding a settled in arkansas stone won't be hard. Lapping one is something i can't bring myself to do.
