Brian, we are not talking about dovetails, however there are many who use jigs for these and do so happily. As you know, I do not - my handskills are fast enough for me. Most joints can be made quickly by hand, and that is my preferred way. Still, I will not turn this into a criticism of those who use machines. I am more interested in what they build. I read on Sawmill Creek that you were purchasing a Felder morticing machine. I assume that you discovered the limitations of handwork in a production run? I don't have an issue with power tools. There is a place for all tools and many different methods in creating an efficient shop.

Regards from Perth

Derek
