Think I am up to a half dozen Jefferson desks now...several were given as change-of-command gifts to battalion or brigade CO's and one to a retiring Navy captain. Lovely little things, and better built of nice QS Cuban or SA mahogany than the veneered construction mentioned in the FWW article.

Model railroading suppliers have a nice selection of small machine screws in brass needed to mount hinges, etc., and most good pool table retailers can sell you the baize upholstery fabric used for the writing surfaces. 3M 77 works well to glue down the fabric.
