Hand Tools

Mostly intuitively. I find it hard to put in words why it looks handmade. The roundovers run from wide to narrow in one nice sweep. The sides of the horns are incredibly narrow. It certainly looks very bold.

In contrast, that dovetail sawhandle from Gramercy that I posted, has been made on a CNC mill for the large part. Only a few small triangular nicks are filed by hand. That handle is a very good aproximation of handtool work, but it still looks mechanical and those filed nicks look like an afterthought.

But of course all this may be because I know how and when they were produced and I may easilly be fooled one way or another.
