Very small screws lead to very small screwdrivers, with correspondingly small handles; that helps.

The small brass screws I can get locally have Phillips heads, which allow a bit more "lean" to the driver as long as you're not applying much torque. Not my preference aesthetically, but the Phillips configuration also helps in driving already-driven-before screws.

Between the two, it works.
