Fun with firewood ()

Hello All,

I apologize in advance for the poor photo quality, but this little joint stool I finished in 2014 was made from oak that was off the firewood pile. The legs are turned from chestnut oak and the rest is red oak. All parts rived, drawbored and pegged, etc. Finished with tinted boiled linseed oil and earth pigments. Antiquing done with a dark wax. It is about 22" tall and is a copy of one from a museum in Albany, NY. I use it as a night stand.

John
