Great for small turning projects or glue-ups (or firewood). The poplar is in good shape. I would have taken it myself If I could have found a use for 8/4. Took all the 4/4 that was there, as well as some of the wider boards from the oak pile. Malcolm likes the figured stuff and the knotty stuff; disdains the "clear" lumber. I wondered why until he showed me some of his work. Nice stuff but not the traditional kind of work we see in furniture store.
