Thank you for the response Bill.

I don't have a broken one. I would buy one with the intent of getting it rewound, provided the motor is rebuildable.

I just got the shaper and it has a 1HP 3 phase motor in it. I don't have 3 phase and wish to put the larger motor in it to be able to use the larger cutters.
