My more used Vicmarc Ovalturning Device. Although I used it a lot (that’s why the riser blocks), it’s still got a lot of life to it. I’ll add a slide projector with the slide that Johannes Volmer sent me to follow his ‘lightline’ method of oval turning and a half finished oval cherry bowl with faceplate still attached. This model has 1 ¼” x 8 tpi on both input and output sides. $1,000

I used the riser blocks to make large men’s oval hat block brims. While making hat blocks won’t pay your mortgage, I found that it made vastly more than selling oval bowls did. If you’re interested in making them, I’ll add all the templates I have, stock on hand, and misc. items for another $200. (Instruction and advice available separately!)
