I still have too many planes. Smoothers in particular.

Round-side 604C is up for grabs. This is NOT a collector grade plane. Bottom flattened, except for ~1/4" of the toe. Sides have been re-ground to be square to the sole. "S P" stamped on one side. Handles are rosewood, but not original, I'm pretty sure. Near as I can recall, they were swapped for comfort reasons, not authenticity. (These are very comfortable handles. Front is mushroom style, tote is... Stanley plane style. Pretty sure it's from another 4. Japanning is over 90% there.

Iron says Stanley Rule and Level, meaning it's one of those sweet old laminated ones. Hasn't been sharpened.

In short, this is a DAMN fine smoother, that has some history.
