Fund Raiser For my friend Terri Buksar Decker *PIC*

Jennifer Indy.USA
Hello everyone,
I’m putting up for auction one of my lidded boxes. Ellis so graciously, in the spirit of the WoodCentral family, has given me the opportunity to do this in order to help raise money for a dear friend of mine who is struggling for a normal life again. Just months ago Terri was living a normal life and then this summer due to several severe diabetic seizures found herself in an assisted living home unable to do on her own the simple, every day things we take for granted like feed herself, communicate and go to the bathroom. Terri no longer understands what day it is, doesn’t recognize family or friends when they come to visit and is in a state of mind that no one can comprehend. She is changed forever. Terri and I have known each other since our freshman year in college where we met and became instant friends and studied Telecommunications together. After being roommates all through school we then lived and worked together in Phoenix, AZ where she still is today. Terri’s situation has tapped her finances and her insurance has come to the point where her assisted living expenses are no longer covered. The cost is $6500/month. The prognosis for her is not good. There will probably not be a return to normalcy for her. Some friends in Phoenix have set up a fund for her at Wells Fargo Bank of Phoenix and so I’m trying to do my part and raise some money to contribute. My art work is what I have to help Terri and her family. Terri and I had lost touch for several years but reunited a couple of summers ago when she came to visit. She had never seen my wood turned pieces and was surprised to see them and asked me where this had been hiding all the years she had known me. She admired what she saw and loved the Wish Bowl that I gave to her. So this lidded box that some of you may have seen me post a few months ago is up for bid. I call these Prayer or Wish boxes. A prayer or wish can written down and placed in the container for safe keeping. It’s turned from cherry and has been painted with tinted acrylic gesso and then designed with archival ink pens. It’s approximately 5” tall and 3” diameter. I would like to start the bidding at $100 and see where it goes. 100% of the winning bid will go to Terri’s Fund. WoodCentral is not taking any of it. Thank you Ellis. Bless your heart for letting me do this. The bidding will close at Midnight December 25th Eastern Time. In order to simplify and expedite payment and the shipment of the piece the winning bidder can wire the winning bid to Wells Fargo Bank. I will give you the account number and the routing number and instructions on how to easily do this from any bank. Or you can send me a check made out to Wells Fargo and I will get it deposited into the account and then I will ship you the piece, insured and at my cost. Thank you for reading this and if you can bid that’s wonderful. My hope is that Terri and her family can at some point find some sort of peace in all of this. Thanks for bidding and thanks again to Ellis who has a huge heart.

Here is my dear friend Terri. Her smile was contagious.
