Photography experts, I need some help *PIC*

>I am trying to photograph a new platter that I made from some very highly figured (fiddle back, tiger) maple. I am having difficulty capturing just how impressive the grain is. Pictures low to the piece really pop the grain more but the platter obviously looks oval. Straight on shots I loose alot of the grain but the piece looks natural. Can you offer any suggestions?

I will post three different shots

TIA for your help!

Chris
