Turning Archive 2006
>Thanks to all who recommended I get the Jet mini lathe. Its here and runs smooth as any tool I can think of. I also got the Robert Sorby starter tool set at Woodcraft. It was on sale for $150 and came with an instruction CD that has me turning spindles already. Only had the lathe since Thursday and haven't had as much time as I wish.
The tools seem to be well ground, so I all I did was hone them a little on one of those fold up diamond hones. I think this will serve me for a while. I have a bench grinder and a belt sander I can grind with if I have too.
Is there a good way to make a jig to grind a fingernail profile?
